What You Will Do

As a Call Center RN with Ascension-WI, you will be a front-line associate, focusing on what matters most - caring for patients.

Schedule:

20 hours per week, Week days start as early as 5 p.m. and off as late as 8 a.m., weekends we are open 24 hours a day, as well as holidays.

What you will do:

  • Prepares documentation information and transmits medical information. Provides non-judgmental triage and/or advice using the nursing process, specific protocols and established resources.
  • Directs callers to appropriate level of care and provides healthcare advice/education using assessment skills, approved guidelines, and knowledge of self-care practices.
  • Selects and delivers appropriate follow-up materials.
  • Provides professional, safe and effective care-related advice to patients.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition \"Compact State\" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education:

  • Diploma
    • Graduate of a board-approved Registered Nurse Program required
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Work Experience:

  • Pediatric experience preferred; Minimum two years Med/Surg or Acute care experience preferred; Prior experience in ambulatory care setting with triage experience preferred; 3-5 relevant clinic experience required.
